Pcnl for Kidney stone of 1.4 cm
Sir, I have a kidney stone of 1.4 cm at lower calyx of left kidney & my urologist has suggested pcnl. I have few queries regarding this procedure. will there be more blood lose or damage to the kidney? In this procedure kidney is punctured so I am worried how safe is this procedure. Shall I go for this procedure? Please help me to choose the safe and effective method. Thank you, With Regards, Deb Kumar Basu.

1.4 cm stone in the kidney with good functioning kidney can be treated by ESWL but you must understand the procedure well and your expectations must be realistic . Please discuss this option with your urologist
