Hello Doctor, I have the habit of biting my nails. Due to that, one of my lateral nail fold got infected. It is swollen and maybe pus is formed in it. I have soaked my fingers in hot lemon water and gave a ice pack many times. But the finger is still swollen. Please advice or suggest any ointment.

Do do this things it may make it more swollen. You have to take oral antibiotics and apply topical antibiotics. If you want you can send me your pictures for better diagnosis and treatment. Brand names can't be written in open forum.
