So the patient thinks he is right and the whole world including his immediate family members is wrong, when he is happy he is very happy and when he is angry he is very angry and in that anger he will verbally abuse and demean to any extent.This has made difficult situation to live in a harmonious manner,please advise

Dear friend, We would like to know the duration of illness and also any associated symptom like forgetfulness and any apparent stressor which lead to present symptoms. Also sometimes in working class people, post retirement they get depressed and show above symptoms. Observe him for variations of mood, his sleep and try encouraging him to maintain a routine so that his frustration level goes down. If he is very suspicious, violent or talks of death , consult a professional. Thanks
