Pap smear before IUD
Do I need to get a Pap smear before getting an IUD? If so, is 2 weeks lead time enough? Also, how soon after menstruation/sex or at which point during my cycle is the best time to get an IUD? Thanks.

It's not a mandate to get a Pap smear done if you are going for intrauterine contraceptive device insertion but it is always better to get one done if it has not been done in the last one year

Better you take pap smear before copper T insertion.Best insertion time is just after menstruation because that time os will be little open and insertion will be easy.zBut after process in next cycle check up for thread is compulsory.
