Painful swelled bump in groin

Asked for Female, 19 Years

I had a hard node type thing on left side of groin since few months beneath the skin, not really painful. Now it has become a big bump with red swelling and a lot of pain, what could be the reason? After using hot compres and taking pain killer Today I little bit of creame coloured pus drained but still the bump is as it was earlier.
