I was perfectly fine but after a couple of weeks of
jogging, I started getting pain in the lateral side of my left knee, just below the knee joint, the part where the tibial bone starts( had googled to know something). I have had this problem couple of years back on my right knee, I assumed it was because of a wrong choice of my shoes and I would just give it a rest of 2 weeks and it was ok. But I know for a fact that my right knee is still not ok, I can bend, straighten perfectly but maybe it's just inside my head that feeling.
After I got a similar pain on my left knee now, it's a bit bothering me. My father has arthritis, I hope it doesn't genetically pass on.
Please let me know if you have any idea about such pains, is it something serious or I just have to rest for a while and run again.

There are multiple reasons for knee pain in runners. Most common are Runners knee and IT Band syndrome. You should see a Sports Orthopedic surgeon and get assessed especially if the pain doesn’t subside after adequate rest.

FYI, I consult at Upasani Superspeciality Hospital in Mulund west on Monday and Friday. You can contact the hospital for appointment.
