I experience a piercing pain in / around the tooth you worked on for filling on the left side. I am using sensodyne 2 times a day but the pain is not going away. It comes only when I have cold water.

May be a high point is there in your filling or the depth is near to the nerve of ur tooth. Diagnosis is reversible pulpitis. Visit to your dentist as soon as possible. Tell him to check high point first. If there is no high point then he will remove ur restoration and will give suitable medication under ur restoration.
Next Steps
if ur problem doesn't resolved after all the treatment, consult an endodontist.
