I am having pain in my tooth for 2 days, I am able to see black spot on it, I am having severe pain due to sensitivity over it.

X-ray is taken prior to filling the teeth . If the cavity is close by the pulp of the tooth then procedures such As "root canal" may be required . If the cavity is shallow then a simple filling will do . Filling will eliminate your sensitivity .
