I am having Pain in the Right lower abdomen backside.
It is in between the ribs and hip.
What is this problem???
I am taking tablet mecofol 500 for vit b12 deficiency. Is it because of this?

Since you have vital b 12 deficiency and complaining of pain in right lower abdomen you need a colonoscopy to rule out ileal inflammatory disease . It is that part of your bowel where body absorbs vit b 12 from. any inflammation there can cause deficiency. Especially if you are loosing weight also.

you need a usg to begin with. if it rules out kidney stones then you definitely will need a colonoscopy.

If pain is bearable ,then its ok.
If unbearable and associated with nausea/vomiting better to do USG ABDOMEN to r/o kidney stone

[ ] Hi, right side of abdominal discomfort generally happens due to problem in liver/ gall stone or gastritis and rarely due to infection in right part of colon .Other causes of lower right pain abdomen are appendicitis and right uretric stone colic. Kindly get a ultrasound of abdomen to rule out liver and biliary cause. Take light food for few days. Feel free to ask any further quary related to your problem. Regards.
