Hi, My father is having pain in bones joints in  fingers of both hands. What could be the reason for the pain. His age is 67.

Age related degeneration can be one of the reasons. Its better to get blood tests done to know the exact cause and to rule out rheumatoid arthritis.

Short duration pain may be due to hyperuricemia. Long duration pain may be inflammatory arthritis or age related degeneration. Keep him active. Keep other co morbidities controlled if any. Ask him to have lots of water. U need to get few simple tests for diagnosis
