Pain in private parts

I had sex last night. It was my first time. My private has swollen up and it is paining a lot. I tried putting ice but dint help. The skin seem to have got stuck. I wasn't wearing a condom. It was with a trusted partner. For pain do I need to see a doctor? And by when would the pain reduce?
