Hi. I understand your concern s. You will need to undergo a detailed examination and investigation like chest x ray to see if pleural effusion has reaccumulated. Consult a pulmonologist for the same at the earliest

I understand your concern. Firstly a cough is not the cause of pleural Effusion while vise versa is true in this condition. Undiagnosed pleural Effusion must not be treated with levofloxacin, as it in tubercular pleural Effusion it may be a second line drug and if it is being used alone, bacteria can develop resistance against it. If pleural Effusion is resolved, sometimes pleuritic pain may persists for years. USG chest conclude that plural Effusion is still there or not.
Next Steps
Etiology (cause) of pleural Effusion is must, so that we can treat in a specific way.
Health Tips
Please consult a Pulmonologist, if pleural Effusion is persistent, if only pain is there don't worry it's a benign condition.
