Pain in left shoulder
My mother has been experiencing severe ache in left shoulder. Sometimes the pain is at different points in the hand (mainly at joints wrist, shoulder and elbow). We thought its due to continuous strain and gave her complete bed rest for 3 days. She was fine during that time. Now, she is having the pain again. What are we supposed to do and whom should we consult?

Hello, pain in shoulder at this age could be osteoarthritis (degenerative bone condition) of the shoulder joint, provided there are no injuries or trauma to the shoulder recently. Requires X-ray to diagnose. Medical Treatment includes proper rest to the joint,, calcium (combined with vit d3, zn) supplementation and painkillers. Please consult a orthopedician.
