But even a normal ecg doesn't rule out a cardiac event
With his age and history he should be further evaluated

Even if ECG is normal since the patient has 2 stents and 83yrs you should see a cardiologist and also would suggest a coronary angiogram to see if there are any significant blockages. But before that I would like to optimise the medications.
