Pain in Ankle Joint
I am experiencing very sharp pain in left ankle joint (I think it is not muscular pain). It happens when I am sitting or lying for some time and then start walking, the pain does not allow me to walk/put pressure on my ankle and hence I am forced to limp. However, after walking for 5-10 mins the pain disappears but a feeling of strech remains in the area. This i am experiencing since last 2 days. What could be the reason and solution to the same. Regards Shilpi

The exact site of pain needs to be noted. If it is in the heel, it could be plantar fascitis. As the duration of pain is only 2 days, try rest and soft comfortable footwear(avoid hard and flat sandals). If it does not resolve in a few days, then you need a ortho consultation.
