Pain below the left part of ribs
I an experiencing pain below the left part of the rib. A Doctor told me it could be because of spleen getting infected or swollen. I took some medication as prescribed. But the pain still persists even after a week. Should I go for the scan? If yes, which scan or what should I do to cure. Kindly advise next steps.

There could be many causes for pain below left ribs. Spleen is just one of the reasons. Other causes could be colonitis, intercostal neuralgia, costochondritis or heart problems or lung diseases. You should get ECG, USG scan of abdomen done.If required other tests are CT scan abdomen.
Next Steps
Get USG abdomen, ECG, Chest X Ray  done.
