Depending upon your xray rct might be required later followed by capping the tooth (crown) to secure the tooth in its position. Also go for root planing of that tooth as it will regenerate the epithelial tissue around it and will reduce the mobility of that tooth. By far you haven't tell which tooth is affected. Try avoiding chewing hard food from that side till u get your treatment started. I hope it answer your questions

RCT is usually not done for teeth which have mobility.
In some cases, mobility is due to an infection below the root tip. In such cases, RCT is helpful.
Pl take an x-ray of the tooth if not already done, to find out the cause for mobility.
You could also consider taking a second opinion.
