What you're describing can be emotional eating. So when we are stressed and we are not able to control it, we rely on cravings on food because it gives us a calmness and it relaxes us also. The issue in the chest that you're facing, if you've got your ECG and everything done, it could be due to anxiety. I think the whole thing is due to anxiety. But don't worry, let's assess. First. Let's talk, let's make a plan. Start your therapy session so it will really help you. It will benefit you for sure. You can talk with me for the same. And don't worry, OK? You don't have any physical unless if all your test reports are normal, the psychological part of it, we can deal with it all the best.

Hi Thanks for reaching out. How long has it been since you have been overeating? The overeating is making you feel anxious. It is important to know what is causing overeating. It is possible to overcome overeating. If you want to treat yourself it is okay. Avoid feeling guilty about overeating, it happens to many people. Consult a psychologist and explain about overeating. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, you can gradually work on reducing food intake. Be easy on yourself and practice self-compassion. With a psychologist you can talk about your lifestyle, the kind of food you eat and sleep pattern. A psychologist will guide you on how you can reduce food intake and manage anxiety.

Dealing with stress and anxiety can affect how you eat and lead to both emotional and physical problems. The chest pains, palpitations, and shortness of breath you're experiencing might be connected to the stress you're feeling. It's important to work on improving both your eating habits and the physical symptoms. Techniques like mindful breathing can help manage stress. Seeking therapy is also a great way to understand and overcome the root causes of these challenges. If you're interested, Mind Sculpt, my company, offers online therapy sessions. They can support you in dealing with stress, eating concerns, and your overall well-being. Getting professional help can give you useful strategies for coping and lead to a healthier and more mindful life.

Overeating is known to bring about hyperacidity and related issues like the pain and burning sensation in the chest. It is also possible to gain weight because of overeating. I would suggest you to consult a gastroenterologist (a doctor who specialises in the digestive system) soon. Such a doctor is very likely to resolve the issues that you have mentioned.
Next Steps
Please consult a gastroenterologist.
