Hello,
I understand you are a patient from Mumbai and you have this fracture which most of the times require surgery.
If you have been treated and if you need to consult again then I am available in Mumbai for consultations at multiple places.
If a surgery is done then we require post operative and follow up xray to judge when you will be able to walk and how much bed rest is required.

You can start walking the very next day, but only with crutches without giving weight to the leg.
Exercises will be started following the day if surgery
Dear unfortunately this fracture will require surgery. (Hope the skin condition is ok on the affected leg). You will be made to start walking after the operation (1-2 days) as per your pain tolerance with the help of a walker aid. Usually putting weight on the affected leg will depend on how much progress you make in follow-up xrays at 3-4 weeks.
Initially only partial knee bending exercise and static quad exercises will be taught by expert physiotherapists. It will keep changing as you progress in your rehabilitation.
WALKING PWB -WALKER -1 MONTH
FWB -WALKER -8 WEEKS -
WITHOUT WALKER -3 MONTHS
