ORIF surgery done on 3rd may
Sir i fall from 40 ft and my right arm medial condyl got dislocation more than 15 mm .i have undergone through ORIF surgery so screw and k wire was inserted so i have query about removal of screw and k wire i want to know it can be removed or can i regain my old strength . Please guide me about removal of these implants is possible or believed to remain in my arm lifetime

K wire should be removed if kept outside.All implants can be removed .Not compulsory.power should be attained through physiotherapy

Any implant can be removed, provided the fracture is united. Strength doesn’t depend on the retention or removal of implants, its completed based on your post operative physiotherapy. You can remove the both implants, after getting proper clinical evaluation and xray.

When was the surgery done? Is the k wire outside the skin ? How much can you bend your elbow now? Did u loose any strength in your forearm when u sustained injury?
