Oral submucous fibrosis is a chronic progressive oral disease with no permanent cure.The condition is usually managed by corticosteroid injections which help to improve mouth opening and slow progression of the disease. Other adjunctive treatments are vitamin therapy especially vit A and physiotherapy. More advanced conditions may require some form of surgical therapy.
