Hi,we are newly married couple. Need an advice from experts how to avoid pregnancy if any protection is not used. Is there any oral pills that can be taken on a regular basis??

Thank you for your question. Your gynaecologist will be able to prescribe oral contraceptive pills after a general check up including your weight and blood pressure and a detailed family history. Oral contraceptive pills are safe to take, are highly effective at preventing unwanted pregnancy, are unrelated to the sexual act and have numerous non contraceptive benefits like good cycle control, lighter periods and prevention of ovarian and endometrial cancer longterm.
