Opinion Post-Operative Digestion Issue
Dear Doctor, My name is Rajesh, and I have a query regarding my wife's (age 35) health. After the birth of our second child, my wife was diagnosed with vaginal prolapse. She tried Kegel exercises consistently for a year, but due to limited improvement, we proceeded with a laparoscopic sling operation, which was performed on 19th July. She is currently in recovery, but we have noticed a persistent issue related to digestion. After eating, within 2–3 hours, she feels the need to pass stool. This happens 4–5 times a day. However, the stool is normal in consistency — not loose, watery, or resembling diarrhea. We are already in touch with our treating doctor, but we would like to understand if this might be a common post-operative symptom or related to another issue. We would also be grateful if you could suggest how best we can take care of her during this recovery period — including any diet or activity precautions that should be followed. Thank you for your time and help.
