Opinion on MRI result
Sir/ma'am I had swelling in left thigh region, underwent mri pelvis after consultation with surgeon in nearby centre. The Mri report has 2 issues which are as follows: 1) Linear signal intensity seen in midline anterior perineum at 6 O'clock near root of scrotum extending posteriorly reaching the external sphincter, not crossing levator ani muscle, no communication with prostate, penile bulb or urethra - S/o fistula in ano, length of fistula 88mm 2) Multiple Bilateral inguinal lymph node are seen. Size of largest is 17mm*7.8mm . Is this something serious? Is lymph node swelling due to cancer? I am worried help.

Welcome and Good Afternoon Your concern 1. Swelling in left Thigh region 2. MRI was done, MRI report has two issues A. Fistula in Ano -- Length of fistula is 88 mm. B. Multiple bilateral inguinal lymph nodes are      seen .....size of largest is 17 x7 mm. 3. Is this something serious. 4. Is lymph node selling due to cancer. 5. Worried about it In response to reply of 3,4&5 See there are two issues one is Fistula in ano and other is enlargement of Inguinal lymph nodes. This could be because of infection or some other disease or some other sinister cause. THE CAUSES OF FISTULA IN ANO & LYMPH NODE ENLARGEMENT are varied from unknown to inflammatory diseases or to malignancy. so final FNAC(Fine needle aspiration cytology) OF LYMPH NODES  is required
