My father has excess consumption of alcohol. This habit has created a lots of problems at home. Please suggest us medicine to overcome the habit of alcohol & withdrawal of it. He has diabetes problem too.

Alcohol addiction/ dependency may affect most of the sectors (family, society and work) of life. It gives adverse effects on physical level as well as mind also. Diabetes increases risk factors for the condition.
For the proper treatment following steps should be followed:-
1. Discontinue alcohol
2. Proper handling of withdrawal (there are life threatening risks during withdrawal).
3. Proper investigation, medication and supervision.
4. Counselling with rehabilitation
