Pls answer the below questions... 1.Do the psychologist/psychiatrist teach how to bath and how to brush and how to wash hands to a Ocd patient? 2.Can a psychologist/Psychiatrist suggest a patient to tolerate everything?(Even patient said him that he can't tolerate the obsessions) 3.I am not bathing and brushing daily because I use lot of water for that and it endup in tiredness...Is it ocd?Or it is something else Mental desease? 4.How to Handle Ocd without family members help? 5.Which is the Most Effective medication for OCD?(currently I am under clomipramine) 6.At the beginning of ocd ERP session I fought with  my ocd symptoms verygood...after days go on I am not responding to ERP.What my psychiatrist should do now?and what I should do? 7.Who can support me better in ocd regard?PSYCHIATRIST OR PSYCHOLOGIST??? pls answer this all question..its my kind request...I am in very difficult situation...

OCD is a chronic anxiety disorder. It’s very much distressing to the patient at times if it is egodystonic. For satisfactory improvement a patient needs both pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy for a long time. Among the medicine primarily SSRI and SRI groups are preferred. There are several augmentation therapy along with. Treatment varies patient to patient. Among psychotherapy CBT and ERP are most effective. A supportive family environment is effective. Patient’s motivation is also a determining factor. Thanks
