Hi.
OAE is a screening test, if once OAE are absent, the test is usually repeated after a few weeks to confirm. If it is still absent, it means that the child needs further evaluation in the form of more definitive tests like BERA.
Plz follow up with your ENT specialist regularly to make sure that any hearing loss is not missed. If hearing loss is present, it must be treated as soon as possible to obtain best results.
