Hello doctor
Need your guidance for nutrition and growth of my baby boy 3yr old. I am following the diet plan mentioned below.
8:30AM- 250 ml milk with Horlicks
11 AM-1 wheat paratha with potato curry or
wheat halwa made in homemade ghee
2 PM-1.5cup rice 1bowl mix pulse with 1 tblsp ghee & vegetable curry(sabji)
5PM- banana milk shake/ any juice 150ml
7:30 PM - Homemade french fries/cake/chips or some snacks
9:30PM. 1 wheat chapati/ paratha with sweet & potato curry.
Please suggest me what I'm missing ,where & how I can add more nutrition in my kids diet.Any health supplement for him??

Hi, there are alot of things wrong with the diet you are giving him. A lot of healthy things are missing. Please avoid fruit juices daily instead you can give the fruit directly. Avoid cakes/fries/chips on a daily basis. Instead supplement with home based snack such a channa, poha, vegetables, etc. More vegetables including green leafy vegetables need to be given. Only milk with Horlicks is a not a replacement for breakfast. It is an important meal and shouldn't be skipped. Once a day ghee is okay. Avoid junk foods.
