The nerves that go to your hands and legs do not pass near your jaw or joint. They pass through your neck spine or cervical vertebrae. Usually changes in these bones cause numbness in hands. Do see an orthopedist as soon as possible MSE would change your face. But not very much.

No. MSE is Orthodontic treatment and definitely won't affect any nerves... Try to take second opinion from different dental  clinic and don't forget to get Numbness checked by nearby orthopedic surgeon usually it is due to vertebral issues...
