NT scan and Double Marker Test
Hello Doctor, IAM 13 weeks pregnant I had my NT scan done NT is 1.47mm and Nasal Bone is 3.2mm with good movement and heartbeat. I will get my double marker report on Monday so was worried. If my NT scan is normal does double marker test comes normal to. IAM 35 of age.

Hi good evening Thnxs for your question Congratulations for ur pregnancy. NT SCAN, Double marker, triple marker all are screening test for down syndrome. All test interpretation always do with combination not alone. And confirm by amniocentesis. In ur case NT looks OK. Wait for triple marker & double marker report. Your NT scan looks absolutely fine... both the test have different sensitivity and specificity... together the accuracy increases .. don't worry.. think positive ..all the best

Nt scan normal means 56%normal baby..double marker increses this sensitivity till90-95%...so the test is recommanded...not to wry..meet your gynac after report
