Novorapid is a short acting insulin and novomix 30 is a pre-mixed insulin that contains 30% novorapid and 70% of its extended version.
So, 30% of the dose would work between 15min to 5 hrs post dosing and 70% would start working after 5 hrs and last for 12-15 hrs post dosing
If you’re shifting from a premix to a short acting, you need a basal insulin to go with it

Hi., I can understand your concern
Novorapid will work faster within 1 and half an hour than novomix which takes upto 2 and half an hours. You can take novorapid as 12-12-12 units.
