Hello, I understand your concern It’s okay to combine EBM and formula if needed. Mother’s warmth, love, and presence matter just as much as the feed. Many working mothers successfully continue breastfeeding or combination feeding. Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended till 6 months. If possible, express breast milk (EBM) to maintain breastfeeding even during work hours. Can be expressed using a manual or electric breast pump. Storage: Room temp (25°C): up to 4 hours Refrigerator (4°C): up to 4 days Freezer (-18°C): up to 6 months Use clean containers and label with date/time. Use iron-fortified infant formula only if: Mother’s milk is insufficient EBM is not feasible Ensure safe preparation and proper hygiene. Avoid bottle propping.
Next Steps
Before work: Direct breastfeeding. During work: Caregiver can feed EBM (stored properly). After work: Frequent direct breastfeeding to maintain supply and bonding.

It’s common for babies to temporarily refuse the bottle, especially if they've gotten used to direct breastfeeding. This issue is called as nipple confusion or nipple preference.
Next Steps
Try when baby is calm and slightly hungry, not crying or very hungry. Let someone else (father, grandparent, caregiver) offer the bottle—sometimes babies refuse it when they sense the mother nearby. Use expressed breast milk in the bottle to maintain familiarity. Warm the nipple and milk slightly to body temperature. Try different bottle nipples (same flow rate but different shapes)—even babies who liked Avent before might prefer a different one now. Offer the bottle while gently rocking or walking the baby to calm them. Try a dream feed (offer bottle while baby is semi-asleep). Be patient—some babies take a few days to adjust.

Do check for oral thrush. It’s a common cause of refusing a bottle. Use Oral Nystatin suspension 1 ml in each side of cheek 4 times a day. The result is very fast - within a day - use 4 times a day. Continue for 48 hours after resolution of symptoms The baby swallows it - no problem
Next Steps
You will have change the Nipple and sterilise the bottle. Check the breast too for any signs
