Not able to understand reports
Hello doctors, I need some help with understanding certain parameters in recently taken tests for my husband (37 year old) He is a smoker. Absolute Lymphocyte Count: 3904 (Normal: 1000 - 3000) Vit D levels 18 (Deficiency <20) SGPT (ALT) 53.62 (Normal: 0 - 45) Cholestrol: 137.7 Tryglecerides: 109 HDL: 51.5 LDL Direct: 72 VLDL: 21.8 Last we checked 3 months ago, his cholestrol and LDL was high and he is having Rososan 10 as prescribed by our GP and has to continue for total of 6 months. Is it normal that his cholestrol and LDL levels have fallen drastically or shall we take another test just to make sure. Also, please help me with his SGPT levels and lymphocyte count. Please help me decipher this report and what precautions are to be taken if any. Thank you. 🙏

I suggest you should do nothing to correct your  lymphocytes count  and  SGPT. He has Vit D deficiency  . He should take supplements for  Calcium,  Vit D3 and Calcium. He is having treatment for  Hypercholesterolaemia.  That should continue. For detailed discussion on other aspects please consult with a General Physician on Practo.
