Nose cleaning of newborn
I tried cleaning nose boogers from my 1 month old baby's nose by a clean Earbud.. instead of coming out, the dirt/booger went inside. What can be done now to reverse this action. I hope baby will not face any difficulty by this. Kindly guide.

Hi. Plz don't worry.  You can use saline nasal drops to clean the nose if you feel there is a lot of mucus. Otherwise, cleaning with a soft towel from outside itself is usually sufficient.  Don't try to clean with ear bud, the probability of the mucus going further inside is always there.  You need not try to reverse the action,  it will come out by itself or you may use saline drops.  Regards,  Dr. Aanchal, Therapeia centre, Bangalore
