Hi.
It is normal to have a blocked nose during an episode of cold. For quick relief, you can try xylometazoline or oxymetazoline nose drops followed by steam. But these medications must not be used for more than a week or so. Orally taken decongestant tablets can also help, but these are best taken after a prescription from a doctor. If your symptoms persist for more than 2-3 days, plz consult an ENT specialist near you for detailed evaluation.
