Normal t3 t4 and tsh 51 at 12 week pregn
My wife is 12 week pregnant, today we had done ultasound all report are ok But 9 week pregnancy we tested tsh level it is 31 Dr given thyronam 75 mg tablets , After 20 days tsh level goes up to 51 My baby is safe ?, plz advise , What should I do now

It is likely to be an autoimmune thyroid condition...in this just taking thyroid medicines will not help...a detailed evaluation is required

Search high TSH is usually associated with autoimmune thyroid disorders .. it is better to consult an Endocrinologist... TSH should be controlled.. Hypothyroidism in pregnancy is associated with more chances of delayed motor development nd intellectual development in baby..
