Non Obstructive right renal calculus
Hi My wife experienced severe abdomen pain and we had an ultrasound thinking that it was a gall stone. But there are no stones in the gall bladder. Ultrasound identified a small stone in the right kidney which is 2MM microlith. The report says non obstructive right renal calculus. Is this alarming? What should we do? Any medication is required? What food diet she should follow. Kindly suggest. Do we have to consult an urologist?

Non obstructive renal calculus of size 2 mm does not require any treatment as it is not causing any swelling or damage to the kidney. Nevertheless she requires a good amount of water, needs to decrease oxalate rich food in her diet like tomato, sweet potato , spinach , rhubarb, cashews etc.
Next Steps
consult with Urologist for proper evaluation and management
