Non healing wound
My father got a wound in the great toe for which he got debridement in a top diabetic centre . After a moderate control of blood sugar the wound got healed . Subsequently he developed a painless abscess like swelling which keeps discharging pus. The pus culture showed no growth . Bone X-ray foot showed no findings . Report showed soft tissue swelling with no bone involvement . He s a diabetic copd CAD post bypass status . Reformed smoker n alcoholic . Blood sugar levels r under control . But still he has occasional pain in his great toe. Toe has swollen a lot. Mri peripheral angio showed no ishchemic changes in his involved leg . Other than pain and swelling he has no other symptoms . He s depressed because of the ugly toe and also misses his daily routine of walking . The first wound was sustained in a temple for which he got debridement and healed now . Second wound on the medial aspect of the toe is a mystery. There is discharge comin everyday through a point . Blood stained .
