I am 43 years old, Male. I got cardiac health checkup. Everything is ok. but Crp is 2. My father got bypass surgery. Doctor suggested me to use rosuvas 5mg daily. Please advise me should i use the tablet?

Hi. Specifically answering your question.- Crp alone is not a criteria for prescribing statin( rosuvas). A fasting lipid profile is needed along with analysis for other risk factors like diabetes, blood pressure, obesity . Also age of your father at which he had bypass will tell us whether it was premature coronary disease or not . Crp can be raised in any inflammation.
Next Steps
Get fasting blood sugar, fasting lipids. Get blood pressure checked along with height and weight.
