Niece 3 year got fever 38,5
Niece has fever. Given her norufen(iboprofen) 5mg. Taken at 3 o clock cus she had fever. It went away n came bak at 9 pm n got fever agen 38,3. Tuk another satchet 5mg at 9.30. Checked her temp at 10.40 its 38,5. She has gone sleep but still very warm and am not supposed to give another dose til after 4 hours in betwen. Dont know what to do now?

Hi thanks for writing to Practo consult. As fever is still persisting we need to localise the focus of infection, so he needs to be seen by pediatrician. Meanwhile give fever medicine paracetamol is weight wise dose and offer plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. You may Read my article it may help you.
