New Teeth to be put On my Diabetic mothe
My mother is having diabetes, even though we keep it under control, the latest reading is - fasting - 138 and 2 hours after eating - 176. We had got a few teeth removed but always its a problem due to diabetes. A few morw teeth need to be removed before the new teeth can be put in place. Wanted your advise on that.

Hello, you need to talk to a diabetologist,get the sugar levels under optimal limits for tooth extraction and later allow for the complete healing of the extraction site. After this consult a prosthodontist and get the new denture fabricated. Regards Dr Sumanmakam

Hi, If the teeth is infected, that itself could increase the sugar level. You can get her admitted under a good a diabetologist, get the  diabetes under control, get the extraction done and keep her under observation. Once diabetes under control post extraction you take her back home. This could be done under hospital facility with a good dentist.

First diabetes should be controlled before removal of teeth then only extraction should be planned under antibiotic coverage
