Neuro Endocrine Tumour (Rectal Colon )
I have Neuro Endocrine Tumour (Rectal Colon Cancer). I have undergone 25 quarters of Chemo Radiation (Capacitabine Tablets + Photon Radiation). Also I have finished 4 Cycles of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Etoposide). My question is will surgery be required? Is this (Neuro Endocrine Tumour - Rectal Colon Cancer) fully curable. Will I fully recover/ will become disease free.

Rectal neuroendocrine carcinomas are too rare.. with grade 3 and ki >50 chemo has a good role. I hope at treating centre each and every aspect of therapy must have been discussed meticulously. Yes surgery has a role in every rectal cancer and also in neuroendocrine ca, but better to consult with primary oncological team and oncosurgeon in the team.
