My baby is 15 days old. On 5th day bilirubin level was 20, she was given phototherapy for 3 days. 6th days the level was 18.9, on 7th day it was 14.5, 8th day it was 13.7. She was discharged. On 14 th day the level is 13.1. Drop in bilirubin level is normal or slow? Is there need to undergo more phototherapy?

In general bilirubin level will be normal (below 10mg/dl)at 14days,in special situations (ex..If mother is using drugs for thyroid)the bilirubin levels will be high even after 14days.
