Negative in RAT
My father age is 52 (diabetic) and a heart patient also.. He is suffering from high fever 100-102.5 His RAT report came negative twice on continus days Will do RTPCR but it will take 24 hours for REPORT to come.. Giving PCM 650 but fever is not coming down(every 6 hours) Please tell what to do? Local doctor said that we cannot give medicine of covid unless proven.. Please tell what to do?

Check for O2 saturation. Have plenty of fluids and protein rich diet. Take Zinc and Vit C for now one daily. Once the RT-PCR results comes out, plan accordingly with your doctor.

Go for rtpcr because rat can be false negative also Check oxygen saturation 4 hrly Go for proper treatment of covid because we cant delay.
