Kindly stay positive, medications can do only half the job the rest has to be done by you, by eating well and staying healthy. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health and it will play a role in your body's response to your treatment as well. Unfortunately you have acquired the disease and we can't do anything about the past anymore but we have the power to change things in our present and tomorrow, so apply your mind to overcome your fears by taking action in the present and future so that no other infections will occur. If you're finding it very difficult I would advise you to meet a psychiatrist who would be of help to you.
