Being a female with diabetes on treatment Umbilical hernia of defect 2 mm size and fat as it's content ( probably you meant that,i think so) It depends upon the various factors to decide about surgery needed or not If you have pain and taken ultrasound abdomen then surgery needed If it's a incidental finding, you can wait for sometime

Umbilical hernia is a type of hernia. I don't know what you imply by 2 mm fat.. You have no symptoms. Have you been diagnosed by some other doctors or is it Google diagnosis ?
