My vision worsened . I need cataract surgery. I went to this ophthalmologist and scheduled the surgery.. I take flomax and he never mentioned that I can't take it for 2 weeks after surgery.. if I can't take my FLomax for my prostate I'm in trouble. I found out on the pre-admission testing forms.
Should I look for another surgeon and what an I to do if I can't take this Rx?

Flomax is not contraindicated for cataract surgery (phaco-emulsification with foldable lens) .I don't ask my patients to discontinue this medicine for phaco-emulsification ,you may consult another ophthalmologists in your town.
