Neck pain in the back
Doctor my mother had a stiff neck in the morning..I pressed her neck in the back side and did some stretching exercises for the neck so that she could feel better..however since evening she is saying that the pain has subsided but at the place where I had pressed the neck,a small bump like thing is seen.. What might be the reason for it.. How should I treat this.. Is it too serious?? Do we need to visit a doctor immediately now (since it's night time now) or do we need to visit a doctor tomorrow?? Please help.. I have attached picture of it so that It might help you.. Thanks in advance.

If any sudden onset of neck pain with abrupt onset of all limb weakness, it is an emergency... Otherwise, If any symptoms like tingling, numbness, or weakness along the shoulders or hands is there, then the swelling might have come from spine... If no pain, and that swelling if not fixed,  movable then it could be just a lipoma... ( fat mass)...
