Dear Doc... My one finger got infected in 2003 (In Punjabi: pakk pena).
The nail got removed itself. The new nail didn't come properly. The photographs of the same are attached for your reference. Is it possible get proper nail again? Please suggest what should I do?

This could be a fungal infection of the nails. other diagnosis is also feasible and a simple scraping will solve the doubts.
Fungal infection is becoming an increasing problem due to rampant usage of antifungals. Please see a dermatologist as some extra medications are coprescribed many a times to treat. If needed a simple skin test can also be done.
