Nail Problem; Nail Truma
I smashed my fingers in a door May 4th. It caused a fracture on my ringer finger (distal phalange) and a laceration that needed stitches on my middle finger. I have some questions about my nails, as they were damaged. Once they take the stitches out, will it still be sensitive? How long? Also, I feel a tingling sensation on the ring finger, is that from the pressure caused by the blood in the nail, or is it the broken bone? How long can I except until the new nail grows in or this one heals?

Hi Thanks for your query. If the nail bed is not damaged the new nail will be fine though it will take time. The tingling could be due to pressure on the nerves. If it persists then show a physician personally.
